Finally, R was good enough to walk. We were so close to giving up, but today his blisters were dry enough.
At 10 am we started our walk again. We walked to Rowardennan and had lunch there.
But we had a decision to make. If we wanted to camp that night we needed to walk at least 5 hours more to reach the next campsite… It was already late (3 pm) which meant it would have been dark before we even got to the campsite and risk for the campsite to be closed. Or we stay where we were (which meant we needed to take into a hotel again) or we could take the ferry over to Tarbet on the other side of the Loch and get to a wild campsite there.
We decided for the last option and booked our ferry tickets over to Tarbet (we also added hot chocolate with brandy to our ticket, haha)
When we got to Tarbet R’s blisters were hurting again so we walked straight to the campsite (wild) and pinched our tent. We managed to pinch it well before it got dark outside. We cooked some mac and cheese and I set up my fairy light inside the tent (you want it cosy right?).
We got cosy in the tent and watched some Netflix. After a few hours, the rain started and after a few episodes of Ghost wars, we fell asleep.
