Day in Långsel

Wonderful day today at my uncle's cottage. Especially because I got 3 big perches. The biggest one might have been the biggest I ever have gotten.

I would have caught 4 if it wasn't for the massive pike that stole one from me. I had already got two when a third one swallowed my hook. My dad was running down on the side of the bridge, which we were fishing from, to help me get it up on land. But when he was on his way down, I felt an even stronger drag from the fish. I looked down and saw a massive pike biting into MY fish!!

The line snatched and the fish was lost. I looked down in the water from the bridge and I saw the damn pike with my fish in its mouth, slowly swimming away. I was sad I lost my fish, but it was quite cool to see. It was like watching the animal channel in real life.

I spent Saturday night with my sisters. We have never sat in a place just enjoying wine together. We spent the afternoon at Takterassen. When we arrived it was not a single soul there, haha! But after a little while a few people came. Right around that time it was time for us to leave, but we always have a good time. After that me and Gabriella went to Kata so hangout with my friends and Viktoria left to see her friends. Me and Gabriella then went out to the pub. Talked way to much and regretted all the day after haha. Pretty sure I am still hangover haha.

My dad fixed my camera, YEEY! Tack pappsen, thank you dad! Two small screws fell off the camera, and the monitor was coming off. So when it got it fixed I ran out to the garden so take some flower power!

Me, my mom and dad went down to our village for “Lillpite dagen” translates to Lillpite day, with Lillpite being the name of my village.

Its a day they arrange once a year, the local stores and cafes are open with fika and other things. Cute little day when everyone goes out.

Coco-puffs for Brekkie and tea at Donut Dunkin before talking the bus into the city. I killed off all my taste buds after drinking the tea when boiling hot, hehe.

I look so lovely on the first photo, haha. A ladybug made herself at home on my nose as we were waiting for the bus. Chloës sister lives out in New Jersey so to get into the city we needed to take an hour long bus ride in.

After a very sugary breakfast I needed some greens in my body. I am kinda proud: I made Chloë like kale smoothies this day. Well, I didn’t make the smoothie or did I force it upon her, but I take all the credit.

First stop: Empire State Building! Is definitely a good way to start the trip, get a better understanding of the city by looking at it from the sky. Lovely, lovely views.

In the souvenir shop, one of the women working there asked me where I was from, whilst I was having a look in the shop. I said that I was from Sweden and the first thing she asked me was “Oh, so do you know Fredrik?“. (Like: “Yeah, as a fellow Swede I totally know Fredrik!”) “Ehh… what?”… was what I really said. “Yeah, you know, the real estate guy?”. Then I got it. Fredrik Eklund! The Swedish guy in Million Dollar Listing New York. So we were chit-chatting away about that for a second.

Chloë then showed me Times Square and where she used to sit and have lunch when she had her internship here. We then had a milkshake and some curly fries at a place called Ellen's Stardust Diner. It’s a restaurant with singing waitstaff. The staff is singers/dancers that wanna get into the broadway scene. So you got a free show whilst enjoying your meal.

After we had enjoyed the wee show at Ellen's Diner we were invited to Henrik's workplace close by. He usually works in another office but just today he was working in the office close to times square.

At the office there were free drinks and beer, so we sat there until it was time for me and Chloe to leave for our broadway show. No more sleep.

Seriously, this play was so cool. All dark, everyone needed to wear a mask and nobody was allowed to talk. You follow the actors around and see different (but still connected) plays play out throughout the "hotel". I am not gonna lie, it was a very sexy vibe in there. And lots of nudity, haha.

From dusk to dawn.

Excuse me? How amazing is this sunrise? 😍

The colors outside my house in the morning is just something else!

It was so cold but yet so warm that I could actually walk outside in my underwear without a problem 😂

During the day me and Chloe went to central and had a look around. After we were done shopping (I got myself the hat in the picture, its from H&M) me, Chloe, dad and me went to visit my grand parents on my dads side. We had some fika. The picture that you can see on the right is the views from their apartment. The sunset is just incredibly! Just a shame that they also overlook a factory 😅

Back home again and got my camera out and attempted to get some good pictures of the moon. Wasn’t really working so I focused more on the trees, haha!
